About this role

This is a part-time permanent position (30-35 hours a week). You will be working within a small team of staff including the owner of the business to help keep our office running efficiently. The role involves managing non-performing accounts by engaging with the customer to assist in rectifying the problem in an acceptable timeframe, managing the daily dishonoured loan repayments, outbound and inbound customer calls, calling past & current customers advising of our new products and compiling & uploading documentation, ensuring fulfilment of compliance requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing our ledger by ensuring arrears are well maintained and up to date. You will work with customers by putting arrangements in place to provide positive outcomes and results.
  • Helping customers with hardship and payment waiver applications
  • Maintaining customer relations with inbound and outbound service calls.
  • Ensuring your work is completed accurately, efficiently, and professionally.
  • Assisting the team, with documentation and day to day tasks.
  • Carrying out general office administration duties.

Necessary skills and experience:

  • Experience in a credit management role.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Experience with inbound and outbound collections calls.
  • A proven track record in performing all credit control functions whilst maintaining customer relations.
  • A self-starter who will own the role with very little supervision.
  • Organised and efficient with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • An eye for detail, an investigative mind and a drive for problem solving.
  • High levels of integrity and privacy, able to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Confident working with numbers and can grasp new technology products quickly.
