About the role:
As a Product Designer at MTF Finance, you will play a crucial role in shaping the user experience of our digital lending products. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to create intuitive and engaging designs that solve complex financial problems and delight our users.
Just some of the things you’re responsible for:
- User Research & Analysis: Conduct user research and gather insights to inform design decisions.
- Concept Development: Generate innovative ideas and design concepts that align with Product requirements. Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mock-ups to communicate design ideas.
- Collaborative Design: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and marketers, to ensure designs are feasible, functional, and aligned with the product vision.
- Design Systems: Develop and maintain design systems, guidelines, and standards to ensure consistency across all products and platforms.
- Visual Design: Create visually appealing and cohesive design elements, including icons, illustrations, and animations, that enhance the overall user experience.
- Design-led principles: Ensure that design principles are communicated, understood and applied.
You’ll need to have:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for design.
- Experience working successfully in an Agile environment.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in product design, preferably in the fintech industry or a related field, along with a compelling professional portfolio showcasing a range of design projects, highlighting your process, problem-solving skills, and design thinking.
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field. Relevant work experience and professional/ industry certifications may be considered in lieu of formal education, where there is clear evidence of successful design delivery.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Miro and prototyping tools like Balsamiq.
- Strong understanding of design led principles, Product discovery & delivery process, and information architecture.
- A user-centered design approach, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating beautiful, intuitive interfaces.
