About the role:
The purpose of this role is to provide support to Operational Risk Manager as well as Head of Risk & Compliance, by monitoring risk data & reporting, providing risk reporting for Committees, execute & perform Control Testing, and assist with risk & control assessments. This role is key to ensuring Risk & Control procedures are well integrated into overall risk management framework, deadlines are met, and that testing & monitoring mechanisms are well established.
This role will also perform current AML transaction monitoring tasks until they are handed over to appropriate ‘1st line’ business owners, as well as provides support to the Privacy Officer managing potential incidents & maintaining the Privacy register.
Just some of the things you’re responsible for:
- Support Operational Risk Manager performing risk assessments and identifying associated controls
- Perform testing on key controls to identify effectiveness and inform associated risk rating
- Coordinate control testing schedule and ensure tasks are completed on time
- Analyse results and identify patterns, trends, repeat failings or increasing risk exposure
- Collate risk data and identify trends & patterns
- Complete risk reporting for regular Committee reporting
- Maintain Issue, Action & Incident registers
- Support the daily AML monitoring and reporting activity including assurance testing (for an interim period)
- Support maintaining the Risk & Control Library
You’ll need to have:
- 5+ years experience in financial services or similar industry
- Tertiary level education (Diploma or Degree)
- An understanding of and ability to apply regulatory parameters into a business (ideally this includes CCCFA, Privacy and Anti-Money Laundering & Countering Financing of Terrorism rules and regulations)
- Any experience in audit or testing work a bonus
