About this role
The Lending Support role requires a highly organised and detail-oriented administrator that blends customer service, sales, operational support, and compliance responsibilities, ensuring efficient operations and exceptional customer experiences.
As Lending Support your role will be diverse and varied. Your responsibilities will include:
- Analysing and approving/declining new applications ensuring strict adherence to the company guidelines and regulatory obligations.
- Maintenance with customer account arrears and daily dishonours
- Ensuring all customer requests and inbound enquires are responded to within the same day.
- Assist with processing of loan applications
- Assist with local area marketing and events as appropriate
- Process and analyse bank statements each day as received and provide customer with application outcome within the same day
- Greet customers and external visitors to the office & via phone.
- Ensure the existing customer database is updated
- Support the team to ensure seamless service to clients
- Assist with enquiries to ensure MTF client contracts are finalised.
- Processing applications and documentation in accordance with established policy and regulatory obligations.
- Proactively managing the call programme to ensure achievement of agreed objectives and sales targets, maintaining low arrears and compliance with relevant law.
- Work with management to identify and service business opportunities with clients.
- Achieve portfolio and sales income, profit and growth targets.
- Being the assigned Health and Safety representative for the branch
Necessary skills and experience
- Previous experience in Sales Support, Administration or credit management role, or previous experience within a financial services company.
- Understanding of or willingness to learn relevant legislation including:
- Credit Contracts and Consumer Finance Act 2003 (CCCFA)
- Privacy Act 1993
- Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Financing of Terrorism Act 2009 (AML/CFT)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong customer focus.
- Organised and efficient with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
- High levels of integrity and privacy, able to maintain strict confidentiality, and promote the brand in a manner which aligns with our goals and our Values
- Confident working with numbers and can grasp new technology products quickly.
- Willingness to grow and develop further with a strong possibility of developing into a full sales/lending management role
